Profile

Before joining SUNDA, he worked as a social studies teacher at a school in Buyana Village. Later, he took on the role of caretaker, managing the village's borehole, but he struggled to collect repair fees of their boreholes. During this time, he met Aya Tsuboi, the CEO of Sunda Technology Global, which led to the installation of the first SUNDA unit. Experiencing first-hand how his village gained access to clean water, he was deeply moved by SUNDA’s impact and decided to join the company. Alex, a childhood friend of him, also comes from the same village as James.

What is your role at SUNDA?
  • Inspecting the quality of products prior to shipment.
  • Regular inventory control to ensure that product and spare part production dates and stock quantities are consistent.
  • Analyzing the cause of parts returned from field maintenance that have failed.
What makes you want to work at SUNDA?
  • Because he was very interested in the goal of Sunda Technology Global that is providing clean and safe water throughout Africa.
  • He wanted to contribute to the development of SUNDA because he has seen how the installation of SUNDA units in his village where he was born and raised has enabled everyone to have access to clean water, and as a caretaker hisself, he has found it easier to collect the water fees.
